Services

Six things we're good at.

We keep the studio deliberately small and the offering deliberately narrow. Everything below is data infrastructure work done by senior engineers — no juniors learning on your warehouse.

01

Pipeline engineering

We design and build ingestion and transformation jobs that are idempotent, observable, and safe to re-run. Batch on a schedule or streaming from a queue, landing in the warehouse you already pay for. Where you have brittle cron-and-script pipelines, we replace them with something that fails loudly instead of silently.

02

Data contracts & quality

A data contract is just an agreement about shape and meaning, with an owner and a test. We put contracts on the tables that matter, run checks before bad data lands rather than after a stakeholder notices, and route breakage signals back to the team that produced them.

03

Warehouse modeling

A semantic layer your analysts can read without a meeting. One definition per metric, documented lineage, and models structured so that "revenue" means the same thing in every dashboard. We work in the tooling you've already adopted rather than imposing ours.

04

Observability

Freshness, volume, schema, and distribution checks wired into the channels your team actually reads. The goal is a small number of alerts people trust and act on — the opposite of a dashboard of red squares everyone has learned to ignore.

05

Migrations & backfills

Moving between warehouses, reprocessing months of history, or splitting a monolith model — done with reconciliation built in, so you can prove the new numbers match the old ones before you cut over. No weekend of held breath.

06

Advisory

For teams who mostly need a second set of senior eyes: a recurring review where we read your pipelines, flag what's likely to break, and pair with your engineers on the fix. Lighter than a full engagement, useful between them.

Engagements

How a project usually runs

Audit

2 weeks

A fixed-scope read of your pipelines and incidents, ending in a written report and a prioritized plan. Often the only thing a team needs to get unblocked.

Build

2–4 months

We implement the highest-leverage fixes from the audit alongside your team, leaving documentation and runbooks behind.

Retainer

Ongoing

A monthly advisory block for teams who want a senior engineer on call for reviews and hard problems.

Next step

Not sure which one you need?

Most teams start with the two-week audit. Tell us what's breaking and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
